RICHMOND, Ky. - At the EKU Spring Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky, the Spalding University men's and women's track and field teams opened their outdoor seasons with a solid set of individual performances against a competitive field, despite the meet not featuring team scoring.
On the men's side, Spalding saw contributions across sprint and field events, with athletes gaining early-season marks and valuable experience against larger programs.
Chad Dahl highlighted the sprint group with a strong showing in the 200 meters, finishing fifth with a time of 22.45, while
Devon Howard added a competitive performance in the 100 meters, recording a time of 11.59. Additional efforts across the roster provided depth.
Noah Stinson recorded a time of 4:40.57 in the 1500m.
The women's team also turned in a well-rounded performance, with multiple athletes contributing solid early-season results.
Avory Hamblen finished 22nd in the 1500m with a time of 6:04:63.
Eryn Rataiczak also competed in the women's 400m with a time of 1:11:49.
Lucy Jones had an impressive outing with a sixth place finish in the 100m hurdles. Jones recorded a time of 16.84.
