Spalding University competes in three conferences primarily competing in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), while completing in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball Conference (MCVL) in men's volleyball, and in the Great Lakes Esports Conference (GLEC).
St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Founded in 1989, the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) consists of 9 private institutions in Kentucky, Illinois, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. Member institutions include: Blackburn College, Carlinville, Ill.; Eureka College, Eureka, Ill.; Fontbonne University, St. Louis, Mo.; Greenville University, Greenville, Ill.; Principia College, Elsah, Ill.; Spalding University, Louisville, Ky.; Webster University, St. Louis, Mo.; and Westminster College, Fulton, Mo
Spalding competes in the SLIAC in 15 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track, and women's volleyball.
Midwest Collegiate Volleyball Conference
MCVL
The MCVL was formed in the summer of 2014 and is the eighth NCAA men's volleyball conference in NCAA Division III. The MCVL inaugural season began in January 2015 and included Benedictine University, Carthage College, Dominican University, Fontbonne University, Lakeland College, Loras College, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and Mount St. Joseph University.
Spalding University joined the MCVL in September 2024.
