CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Spalding University delivered a series of strong performances at the Huntsman Family Invitational held on April 4, 2026, at the Huntsman Track in Little Giant Stadium.

The standout performance of the meet came from Eryn Rataiczak, who secured a first-place finish in the women's pole vault by clearing a height of 3.33m. Rataiczak also showcased her speed on the track, finishing 10th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.36 seconds.

The Golden Eagle women were particularly effective in the throwing events and hurdles. In the hammer throw, Takeiyah Conn led the squad with a third-place finish (36.42m), followed by Riana Caldwell in sixth (33.04m) and Taimane Alo in 11th (27.63m). The trio also competed in the shot put, where Alo earned a podium spot in third place (9.08m), with Conn finishing fifth (8.74m) and Caldwell taking eighth (7.86m). Additionally, Caldwell and Alo placed fourth (24.22m) and fifth (23.43m) respectively in the discus throw. On the track, Lucy Jones stood out by taking third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:13.99) and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.39). Roslyn Stull added a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (18.81). Rounding out the women's efforts, Holly Higgs took seventh in the 200-meter dash (27.64) while Amaya Jones finished 11th (32.70). In the field, Morganne Piercy placed 13th in the long jump with a mark of 3.80m.

On the men's side, Wyatt Frye provided a highlight in the distance events, capturing fourth place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:59.90. Sprinter Devon Howard represented the team in both the 100-meter dash, where he tied for 17th place (11.61), and the 200-meter dash, finishing 12th (23.36). Javier Manon also competed in the 200-meter dash, taking 21st place (25.02), though he finished with a "No Height" in the high jump. In the throwing circle, Richie Radaszewski secured 16th place in the shot put with a toss of 10.61m.
