LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University Fortnite teams continued their inaugural season this week with another round of competition in the ECAC, showing steady growth across the board and standout performances from two duos who made significant strides.
After a challenging opener, the duo of
Matthew Judkins and
Davieon Bowyer bounced back in a big way. The pair demonstrated noticeable improvement in communication, positioning, and decision-making, resulting in their best showing of the season. Their confidence in late-game situations and ability to secure key eliminations helped propel them up the leaderboard, showcasing the team's commitment to progress week by week. In their three games, they placed 29th, 2nd, and 4th with ten total eliminations, earning 124 points on the week.
Meanwhile,
Andrew Bland and
Evan Orr continued their strong start to the season with another consistent performance, nearly doubling their point total from the previous week. Their ability to stay composed in pressure situations and maintain a steady flow of points through placement and eliminations solidified their place among the top-performing Spalding duos this week. In their three games, they placed 11th, 7th, and 4th, earning a total of 122 points.
Even beyond these highlights, each Golden Eagles Duo showed improvements in coordination and awareness, reflecting the growing chemistry and competitive mindset developing within the program's Fortnite roster.
Spalding Fortnite returns to action next week as league play continues in ECAC Fortnite, looking to build on this momentum and turn continued progress into results on the scoreboard.
