This week marked the official debut of Spalding Esports Fortnite in the program's very first season taking part in the ECAC, and our players made a strong impression right out of the gate. With four duos competing, the team showed resilience, strategy, and flashes of brilliance that hint at what's to come this season.

The freshman duo of Andrew Bland and Evan Orr stole the spotlight in Week One. Their consistency across matches and clutch performances in endgame situations helped them secure 8th, 3rd, and 15th place finishes in each of their three games. Andrew had a standout game two tallying four eliminations, where Evan tallied four total for the night split across two games. With a combination of their smart rotations and aggressive pushes, they proved to be a force to watch moving forward.They end the week with 126 points. 

While Andrew and Evan stood out this week, all four duos contributed to a successful debut for Fortnite. This first week showcased the depth of talent in the roster and set the tone for what's to come. As the season continues, we're excited to see how each team develops and pushes toward the top of the standings.
