ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Spalding University men's soccer sophomore Gavin O'Donley has been named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

On Saturday, O'Donley recorded a shutout in a 0-0 tie against Westminster. The goalkeeper recorded 3 saves on Saturday for a total of 6 on the week. 

It is the first SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week award of the year for men's soccer.

The Golden Eagles take to the field again on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Spalding Athletic Complex against Webster University.
