LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University men's soccer team is set to host the SLIAC Tournament semifinals this Thursday after winning their second SLIAC regular season championship in three years and securing the #1 overall seed for the conference tournament. Kickoff for the semifinal match is set for 7:00 PM EST at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium on the campus of Bellarmine University.
 
The Golden Eagles enter the week with a 14-3-1 overall record, including a 7-1-1 record in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. With one game still to play this afternoon, Spalding's opponent could be Fontbonne, Iowa Wesleyan, Webster or Principia.
 
Head Coach Adam Boyer's side has shown remarkable consistency this season, winning seven of their first nine games and seven of their last nine games. Junior forward Kornell Hilliard sits with 18 goals and 7 assists, while Abnel St. Fleur has added 9 goals, Mirza Ugarak 6 goals, and Mani Bakari 5 goals. Five other players have at least 2 goals. While the SU offense has been averaging 3.0 goals per game, the Spalding defense has also garnered 5 shutouts on the campaign. Goalkeepers Jude Louis and Trevor Massa have combined for a 1.34 GAA.
 
With a win in Thursday's semifinal game, Spalding would then move on to the SLIAC Championship, which once again would be hosted in Louisville. Kickoff for Saturday's championship game would take place at 5:00 PM EST.
