Box Score 3 The Golden Eagles hit two walk off home runs to take two of their three game series against Fonntbonne University.

Matt West blasted a walk-off home run over the left field wall to lift the Golden Eagle Nine to a 3-2 win over the Griffins.
West led SU at the plate, going 2-for-4, while driving in one run and scoring two. Derek Ferch and
JR Belt each tallied on one hit and drove in one RBI.
Chance Brinley (3-2) earned the win, allowing no runs on two hits, while striking out three and walking one.
Spalding struck early, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. West reached on an error by Griffin third baseman Nick Platipodis, advanced to third on an error by the pitcher, and came home on Ferch single to right field. Ferch moved to second when
Drew Beckman was hit with a pitch, advanced to third on a
Ryan Mosby bunt and scored on a
JR Belt sacrifice groundout to second base.
Fontbonne evened it up in the top of the sixth to make the score 2-2. Ethan Boyer reached on a walk and moved to third when Alex Roedner singled to left field and advanced to second on the throw. Matt Wallis followed with a single to right field driving in Boyer and Roedner to tie the game.
Both teams went scoreless over the next three innings until West ended the game with a shot over the left field wall to earn the 3-2 win for SU.
Spalding 6- Fontbonne 5In the second game of the weekend, Matt Wallis drove in teammates Ethan Boyer and Alex Roedner giving Fontbonne a 2-0 lead over The Golden Eagles.

Fontbonne scored one run in the third inning to regain the lead but two Spalding runs in the bottom of the fourth gave the Golden Eagles a 4-3 lead.
SU found themselves down once again as Fonntbonne scored two in the top of the seventh for a 5-4 lead.
Kyle Whitlock scored the Golden Eagles single run of the seventh to tie the game at 5-5 and Nathan Greenwell ended the game, as he hit a home run over the left field wall to give Spalding the 6-5 win.
Ferch and Greenwell led the way for Spalding as they each went 2-for-3 and recording one run and one RBI apiece. Mosby earned the win for Spalding, improving to 4-5 on the season, as he struck out four through 8 innings.
Spalding 8- Fontbonne 11After defeating Fontbonne in two games on Saturday, the Golden Eagle Nine dropped the last game of the weekend series 11-8.
Ryan Mosby led Spalding in the loss as he went 2-for-4 and record two runs and one RBI. Pitcher
AJ Rogers got the loss, walking two batters and allowing three runs.
SU found themselves down 2-0 in the second inning as Fontbonne's Alex Hill singled to center field and drove in teammates Matt Wallis and Tanner Carter.
In the bottom of the second, Spalding cut Fontbonne's lead to 2-1 as Mosby scored off a
Korie Vire double down the right field line. Two plays later, an error by Fontbonne's pitcher allowed Vire to score, tying the game at 2-2.
Fontbonne recovered the lead in the third inning as Hill flied out to center field, allowing Willis to score.
The Golden Eagles responded with five runs in the bottom of the third to take a 7-3 lead. Both Mosby and Vire scored a run in the third, increasing their game total to two runs apiece. Spalding would not score again until Ferch drove in Whitlock in the the bottom of the eighth.
While SU went scoreless through four innings, Fontbonne scored eight runs through the last five innings, including five in the sixth, to take an 11-8 win.
Winning two of three, Spalding improves to 23-12, 17-6 in the SLIAC.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday, April 30 when they host Centre College; first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. EST.
