ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Spalding baseball landed eight players on All-Conference teams and one on the All-Sportsmanship team, the conference announced Wednesday.
This year's Pitcher of the Year is
Cameron Rayborn from Spalding University. Rayborn was undefeated in conference play, recording a 5-0 record on the mound with a 2.70 earned-run average. He recorded 50 strikeouts and just 10 walks while holding opponents to a .251 batting average. Rayborn led the conference in innings pitched and strikeouts while tying for the lead in wins. He is the sixth Golden Eagle in program history to win the award, tying the conference record by a school, and the third Spalding pitcher in the last four years to win the award.
