LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Golden Eagle nine slid into this week's D3baseball.com and ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Top 25 polls.

Spalding jumped six spots in each poll climbing to #21 receiving 121 votes in the D3baseball.com poll and 118 votes in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball.

Spalding went 2-0 on the week outscoring their opponents 21-3. The Golden Eagles also swept the SLIAC weekly baseball awards. Garrett Wilson was named SLIAC Hitter of the Week and earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Nation Team of the Week, while Jimi Keating was named SLIAC Pitcher of the Week.

The Golden Eagles are 14-3 overall and 2-0 in SLIAC play on the season with wins over then No. 1 ranked Massachusetts-Boston, and a 4-2 victory over No. 25 ranked Wisconsin-La Crosse.  On the season, Spalding is 3-1 against teams that have been ranked or received votes in the D3baseball and ABCA poll, with the only setback being a midweek, 4-3, loss at No. 21 Maryville.

The Golden Eagles are back on the diamond Friday and Saturday at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill. The Golden Eagles are scheduled for nine innings Friday at 4:00 pm EST, followed by a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm EST.
