Women's Track & Field ranked seventh in SLIAC Preseason Poll

ST LOUIS, Mo. - The Spalding Women's Track & Field team sits seventh in the 2022-23 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) preseason coaches poll.

The Golden Eagles placed seventh with a total of 15 points. Sitting in first place is the two-time defending champions of Greenville with a total of 49 points and seven first-place votes. In second place are the women of Webster where they have a total of 43 points and the final first-place vote. And to round out the top three are the panthers of Principia with a total of 37 points.

This is the first full season after Stephen Gray was named Head Coach. Coach Gray is very hopeful about his  young crew of sprinters.The SU runners will be put to the test all season long leaning new events and spreading out to add depth to help the team improve on last years seventh place finish.
