ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Spalding men's soccer team sits second in the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) coaches preseason poll, the league announced Thursday.
The Golden Eagles earned the second spot with 41 points and one first-place vote. Two-time defending champion Webster University earned the first position in the poll with 49 total points and seven first-place votes. Greenville University ranked third with 39 total points.
Caleb Jackson, a two-time all-conference defender, Chris Encarnacion, Jacob Bass, both earning all-conference as midfielders, and Chadrack Mulondani, who earned second-team all-conference as a forward, were named to the 2022 SLIAC Men's Soccer Preseason Watch List.
The 2022 SLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament takes place November 1st- 5th at campus sites that will be determined by the seeding at the end of the regular season.
