St. Louis, MO. - Spalding University volleyball's sophomore
Jayda Branch has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
In Saturday's match against Blackburn College, Branch tied her career best in kills with 22. Branch added 19 digs earning a double-double. She had a .237 hitting percentage against the Beavers. On Tuesday, Branch had 7 kills in a match against Berea College.
It is the first SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week award of the year for Branch and SU volleyball.
The Golden Eagles take to the court again on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m. in Fulton, MO against Westminster in the SLIAC Tournament quarterfinals.Â
