Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University women's soccer team beat Webster, 1-0, in overtime to extend their record to 3-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference.
As both teams would go head to head in their second SLIAC match-up, both defenses came to play in the rainy conditions. The Golden Eagles would keep the Gorloks offense at bay despite Webster's 19 shots.
Olivia Bosch was able to contest nine of those shots to record nine saves.
As the match would go into overtime, the Spalding offense would find some open grass as
Kara Krueger dribbled the ball up-field into Gorlok territory. Krueger would slide the ball over to
Baeli Young as she had just one defender to beat. Young was able to catch the defender off balance as she crossed over to take the shot. Young would reach the back of the net in the bottom right corner in the 109
th minute of the match giving the Golden Eagles the win.
