Women's Soccer Secures Three-Seed in the SLIAC Tournament

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - Spalding University women's soccer delivered a commanding performance against Blackburn College, cruising to a 5-0 victory driven by an outstanding four-point performance from Anna Graves. With the win, SU secured the three-seed in the SLIAC Tournament.

The Golden Eagles set the tone early, taking the lead in the ninth minute when Clara Creg netted her sixth goal of the season off a setup from Graves. Spalding continued to press as Graves turned from playmaker to scorer, doubling the lead in the 26th minute on a finish assisted by Maddie Campbell. Just ten minutes later, Claira Andrews connected with Graves for her second goal of the day, sending Spalding into the locker room with a comfortable 3-0 halftime cushion.

The Golden Eagles maintained full control throughout the second half. In the 60th minute, Graves recorded her second assist of the match by setting up Lejla Salihovic for Spalding's fourth goal. Ema Avdic capped off the dominant performance in the 87th minute, capitalizing on a feed from Trinity Bauwens to seal the 5-0 shutout victory.
