-
Alioune Cisse, Freshman, Midfielder
- Cisse's hard work and determination as a freshman earned him a spot on the All-SLIAC First Team. The midfielder helped fellow First Team honoree
Trevor Massa by shutting down any opponents' offense, working to 10 shutouts on the season. Cisse also scored six goals and passed two assists, proving to be a dual-threat player. The freshman hopes to build on his success next season as well as the next two moving forward.
-
Trevor Massa, Sophomore, Goalkeeper
- Massa proved that size does not matter in his sophomore season as a collegiate player. The 5'9" goalkeeper played excellently, finishing with the highest save percentage in the SLIAC, 0.850 or 85%. Massa accrued 96 saves on the season and allowed less than a goal per game with a 0.79 goals-against average (GAA). SECOND TEAM ALL-SLIAC
-
Clayton Henn, Junior, Defender
- Henn saw his first real action in his junior season after joining the team a year prior and he made the most of it. With a starting spot on the back line available, Henn put in the time, effort, and energy to earn that role and filled it wonderfully. The defender earned Second Team All-SLIAC honors in a breakout season. Henn starred on defense, leading the Golden Eagles to 10 shutouts. The junior also threw his hat in the offensive ring, scoring his first collegiate goal in a 3-1 victory over Berea. Spalding will likely look to Henn as a leader on the back line as he focuses on next season which will be his last as a Golden Eagle.
THIRD TEAM ALL-SLIAC
-
Jacob Bass, Sophomore, Midfielder
- Bass built upon a strong freshman campaign the year prior to become a regular starter in the midfield for the Golden Eagles. The sophomore performed well in the midfield, acting more as a distributor than a weapon, which was just what the Golden Eagles needed of him. He helped to control the midfield and keep the game moving at what Spalding considered an ideal pace of play throughout the season. Bass also scored his first collegiate goal in a 3-0 win against Anderson and added a pair of assists during the season. Bass's control and knowledge of the game earned him Third Team All-SLIAC honors.
-
Omar Mukoma, Freshman, Midfielder
- Mukoma had a compelling freshman season, starting in 17 of 21 games for the Golden Eagles. Mukoma made his presence felt in the attacking midfield, scoring five goals and passing four assists as a freshman.
