RICHMOND, Ind. — The Spalding University men's soccer team ground out a hard-fought 0–0 draw on the road against Earlham College on Wednesday evening at Matlack-Messer Stadium.
In a tightly contested defensive battle, the Golden Eagles (0-3-1) outshot the Quakers 6–5 and put three shots on goal, but neither side was able to break through.
Spalding's defensive unit delivered a disciplined performance, effectively locking down Earlham's attack and limiting the hosts to a single shot on target all evening. Goalkeeper

The Golden Eagles set an aggressive tone early when forward
Forte Bess tested Earlham goalkeeper Joshua Gandee with a low shot on target in the sixth minute, marking one of two shot attempts for Bess on the night. Spalding generated additional second-half pressure following the insertion of substitute
Victor Godgift in the 64th minute. Godgift provided an instant spark up front, putting both of his shot attempts on target and forcing key saves from Gandee. Additional shot attempts from

Washi Mlongeca rounded out the attack for Spalding in a scoreless draw.
