LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding's Marcus Montgomery has been named this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Montgomery, a sophomore guard from Louisville, Ky., averaged 26.0 points in five games over winter break. Marcus reached double figures in scoring in all five games and tallied a school record 51 points against Greenville while adding two other 20-point games. He shot 59-percent from the field during the two-week stretch and connected on 17-of-32 three-pointers while also going 17-of-19 from the free-throw line.

Montgomery and the Golden Eagles will be back in action Wednesday, January 9 on the road at MacMurray College. Tip is 8:00 pm EST in Jacksonville, Ill.
