FULTON, Mo. - In a tightly contested SLIAC battle at Westminster Gym in Fulton, Missouri, the Spalding Golden Eagles rallied in the second half to earn a 70–64 road victory over Westminster (MO).
TURNING POINT
After trailing 32–29 at halftime, Spalding flipped the script in the second half by outscoring the Blue Jays 41–32, highlighted by improved shooting efficiency and balanced scoring across the lineup.
Lekendrick Morris led the Golden Eagles with 14 points and seven rebounds, while
DeAireus Wells and
Dawsyn Miller each contributed 12 points, with Miller's shooting from beyond the arc giving Spalding valuable spacing.
Devonte McCampbell added eight points and seven boards, helping control the glass and facilitate the team's surge. Westminster was paced by Walker Gohring, who scored 21 points including three three-pointers, and Kolton Garner chipped in 12 points. Jamile Johnson also reached double figures with 10 points for the Blue Jays, but it wasn't enough to contain the Golden Eagles' second-half run. Spalding's ability to tighten defensively and convert key possessions down the stretch proved decisive in securing the road win.
