LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding University secured a hard-fought 52–49 road win over Eureka in SLIAC action, rising from an early deficit and tightening up on both ends down the stretch to claim the victory.

Spalding trailed by one after the first half, 23–22, but rallied in the second half behind improved defense and more efficient shooting to outscore the Red Devils 29–27 and come away with the close conference win. Leading the way for the Golden Eagles was
Devonte McCampbell, who scored 9 points with 7 rebounds, playing a key role in Spalding's interior presence and physicality.
Dawsyn Miller also contributed 9 points, while
Jaelen Leavell and
Lekendrick Morris added 8 points each, helping keep the offense balanced and multiple scoring options in the flow.
Spalding shot 44.7% from the field on the night (21-of-47) and made 8 of 19 free throws, with the team showing marked improvement in the second half, hitting 54.6% of their shots after intermission to help close the gap and pull ahead. The Golden Eagles battled through 10 lead changes and five ties, demonstrating resilience in a tight contest.
Defensively, Spalding limited the Red Devils' offense in key moments, closing out the game with stops that preserved their narrow lead. The win improved Spalding's record in conference play and underscored the team's ability to perform in close games away from home.
