Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Spalding men's basketball team falls on the road to Webster University, 75-64, Thursday evening. The Golden Eagles drop to 8-13 on the season and 6-9 in SLIAC competition, while the Gorloks improved to 12-10 and 9-6 in SLIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A hot start by the Golden Eagles coming out the gates on a 16-4 run early was matched and cooled down by the Gorloks as they went into the half up by a score of 36-33. The second half proved to be tightly contested, but Spalding was unable to bounce back from being down as they were outscored in the second half 39-31 to down the Golden Eagles, 75-64.
Brendan Holt led Spalding with 12 points and five rebounds. Dominique Ellis was just behind Holt with 10 points to go along with four assists. Brandon Williams led the Golden Eagles on the boards with seven rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
Nigel Wilcox led the Gorloks with 19 points and added eight boards with the total. Also, Davian Joseph was one rebound shy of a double-double as he totaled up 10 points with nine rebounds for Webster.
