LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Spalding University Golden Eagles delivered a commanding performance in a 93–74 victory over the Greenville University Panthers on Tuesday night at Derek Smith Gymnasium.
GAME RECAP
From the opening tip, Spalding set the tone with a fast-paced offensive attack and efficient scoring, jumping out to a 39–26 lead by halftime and never relinquishing control throughout the second half. The Golden Eagles' offense was led by standout performances from
Lekendrick Morris, who finished with 34 points, and
Devonte McCampbell, who added 32 points along with an impressive 15 rebounds and 9 assists, driving Spalding's scoring with precision and energy on both ends of the floor. Spalding's overall offense was remarkably efficient, shooting 68 percent from the field, while the Panthers struggled to find consistency, finishing under 30 percent shooting for the game.
Greenville was paced by Brandon Tully with 18 points and balanced contributions from a handful of players in double figures, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Golden Eagles' hot shooting and strong inside presence.
