FRANKLIN – The Spalding University volleyball team swept Franklin College in three sets Tuesday night, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-18.
The Golden Eagles were led offensively by E.C. Burkman's team-high 11 kills.
Jessica Diehl and
Victoria Heitzman also had a solid performance. Diehl tallied nine kills and Heitzman added seven, while
Katelyn Cosgrove dispensed 18 assists.
Casey Wilkerson led the defense with 22 digs and Burkman was second on the team with 12. Diehl and
Sarah Thompson controlled the net. Diehl led the team with three blocks and Thompson finished with 2.5.
April Fisher and Erin Down also finished with two blocks apiece.
Up next, the Golden Eagles will head to Principia College to take on the Panthers Thursday, October 9 at 6:00 p.m., EST.
