LOUISVILLE – The Spalding University volleyball team honored seniors
April Fisher,
Casey Wilkerson and
Elisa Burkman before the match, then rolled to a 25-19, 25-15, 25-21 sweep of Franklin College.
Jessica Diehl, along with the senior duo of E.C. Burkman and
April Fisher led the Golden Eagle attack. Diehl finished with a team-high 12 kills, while Burkman added 10 and Fisher tacked on four.
Katelyn Cosgrove was the main distributer, passing out 34 of Spalding's 35 assists.

Casey Wilkerson anchored the defense with 12 digs, Burkman added 11, and Cosgrove controlled the net with six total blocks.
Heading into the final weekend of the regular season the Golden Eagles currently sit in fourth place in the SLIAC standings with an overall record of 15-15, with an 11-5 mark in conference play. SU can clinch a spot in the SLIAC Tournament for the first time in school history with a win on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles host Greenville College and Principia College Saturday, November 1. SU will open the day against Greenville at noon, followed by a match with Principia at 2:00 p.m., EST.
