Jacksonville, Ill. - The Spalding University volleyball team swept MacMurray College 25-12, 25-17, 25-20 to win their fifth consecutive match improving to 10-14 overall and 7-4 in the SLIAC.
The Golden Eagles had two players record double-digit kills,
Elisa Burkman led the attack with 14 kills and
Jessica Diehl tallied 10.
Katelyn Cosgrove had a match-high 35 assists.
Burkman led the team on the defensive side as well, recording 12 digs, while
Casey Wilkerson added 11 digs.
Sarah Thompson had a team-high five solo blocks and Diehl finished with six block assists.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action Friday, October 18 when they host Webster University. Start time is slated for 7:00 p.m. EST at Derek Smith Gymnasium.
