ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Spalding University men's soccer player Gabe Brangers has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Gabe Brangers posted a three-save clean sheet to secure the Golden Eagles' first win of the season against Franklin.

It is the first SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week award of the year for men's soccer.
