ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Spalding men's soccer is in a tie for the fourth spot in the 2023 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) coaches preseason poll, the conference announced Thursday.
The Golden Eagles placed in a tie for fourth with Fontbonne University as both squads had 49 points. Defending champion Greenville University took the top spot with 77 points and five first-place votes. Webster University landed second with 74 points and four first-place nods. Principia College rounded out the top three with 59 points.

The 2023 SLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament runs November 1 and 3-4 at campus sites. The Golden Eagles open the season by hosting the JR Hoe Invitational on September 1 and 3. Spalding plays at 7:30 p.m. each night.
