ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Spalding men's cross country is predicted to finish sixth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) this year according to the 2023 SLIAC coaches preseason poll.
The Golden Eagles were sixth in the poll with 40 points. Greenville, coming off of their seventh straight SLIAC Championship win, came in first place in the poll with 81 points and nine votes for first place. Fontbonne came in second with 65 points and one vote for first place. Webster finished in the top three with 63 points.
Spalding's
Wyatt Frye was named to the SLIAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Watch List. Frye earned Second Team All-SLIAC last season, and finished 13th in the SLIAC Championship.
The 2023 SLIAC Cross Country Championship will be October 28th, in Litchfield, Ill. The Golden Eagles will start their season at the Rose-Hulman Opener in Terre Haute, Ind. on Sept. 1.
