Kelaiah Clark added to women's soccer staff

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding women's soccer adds Kelaiah Clark to coaching staff, announced, Head Coach Jordan Vejar.
 
Coach Vejar commented, "Kelaiah is passionate about soccer and developing the next generation of players. She truly focuses on the development of the person and player holistically." Vejar continued, "Coach K and I have developed great chemistry since coaching together last summer. Her knowledge of the game and how to communicates with players is so unique. I know she will be a huge asset to have on our coaching staff and an even better role model to our student-athletes." "Kelaiah's competitiveness, organization, and commitment to excellence will be very evident every time she is on the pitch with us. We are beyond lucky to have her joining our staff at SU," finished Vejar.
 
When asked about the opportunity Coach Clark stated, "I am extremely excited for the opportunity to be a part of a program with so much potential. I am thankful to be able to work alongside Jordan and the Spalding staff to creative a positive culture for this program and Spalding Athletics."
 
Prior to Spalding, Coach Clark was the head varsity assistant/JV head coach at Floyd Central High School July of 2021. Her immediate impact on the team made her a perfect fit to join staff at Mockingbird Valley Premier coaching the 2006 Girls White team. Her knowledge of the game and positive demeanor makes her a very effective, young coach. She now enters the role of Assistant Coach for our women's soccer program at Spalding University.
 
Coach Kelaiah Clark is a native of Louisville, Ky. Soccer has always been a big part of her life as a player and now she is coaching the 2006 Girls White team at our club. As a player, Coach Kelaiah played for Derby City Rossoneri and played at PRP high school. During her time at PRP high school, she was a 3-year captain for the program. After high school, Kelaiah continued her playing career at Campbellsville University where she was also a team captain her senior season. Coach Kelaiah graduated from CU with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Political Science. She spent time studying abroad in Spain as well.
 
When Coach Kelaiah is not on the soccer field coaching, she is playing in the Mockingbird Women's Indoor league. She also works for a real estate appraisal office in Louisville.
