LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Spalding women's soccer team fought hard to secure the 2-1 win over MacMurray on Saturday. Bringing the Eagles to 6-7 for the season and 3-2 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was a very competitive back and forth between Spalding and MacMurray. However, in the second half, the Golden Eagles secured the first goal of the game in the 60
th minute by
Avery O'Hara with an assist from
Kendall Brown.
- In the 71
st minute Krystal Kohenskey found the back of the net for the Highlanders to tie the game to 1-1. This led the game into double overtime with
Dori Emig landing the the final goal to win the game for the Golden Eagles.

Kayla Strehle had a strong performance in the net producing nine saves and only giving up one goal.
