LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Spalding men's soccer team pulled off a gritty performance in their season opener against Georgetown in double-overtime, 3-2. The Golden Eagles at one point held a 2-0 lead and managed to weather the Tigers tying the match at 2-2, but a St. Fluer goal in the 108
th minute pushed SU to the first victory of their 2018 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles put away two goals coming from
Kornell Hilliard (25', 48'). The first on a touch shot past the keeper, and the second on a chip to the back post.
- Abnel St. Fluer secured the win with a golden goal finish from a
Mani Bakari corner kick in second overtime period (108').

Trevor Massa (1-0-0) earned the victory in his first career start coming out with six saves, while facing 18 shots with eight coming on frame.
