LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University men's soccer team played Centre College to a 1-1 tie in their final preseason tune-up.

The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead midway through the first half. Dino Ferizovic took a ball from Leslie Chu and ripped a shot past the Colonel keeper in the 23^rd minute to give SU the early advantage.

The Colonels evened the game up with a goal in the 61^st minute, but the Golden Eagle defense held up the final 30 minutes as the two teams played to a tie after 90 minutes.

The Golden Eagles open up the regular season Thursday, September 1 versus Austin College. Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm EST at Centre College in Danville, Ky.
