In the sixth inning, the Eagles bats exploded for three homeruns driving in four runs in the inning to make the final score 8-3. Vire homered to left field to lead off the inning and Kam Bruner pulled a solo shot down the right field line. Blake Patterson followed with a single to left field and Belt homered to left center for SU's final two runs of the game.

The Golden Eagle Nine used a six run fifth inning to key an 11-3 victory over Eureka in game two.
