2017 Season
In 2017, Chafin appeared in 36 games. He registered a .306 batting average on the season. Nic highlighted his season going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in a win over Principia. Chafin was named to the SLIAC All-Conference Third Team as a designated hitter.

2016 Season
Chafin appeared in 30 games his junior year batting at a .262 clip with 12 RBIs and scoring 28 runs. The speedy outfielder finished the season with 11 stolen bases ranking ninth in the SLIAC. In the field, Nic tallied 39 put outs in 42 total chances with a .976 fielding percentage. Chafin highlighted his season going 3-for-4 with two triples, a double and an RBI in the Golden Eagles 15-1 win versus Blackburn.

2015 Season
Chafin, a sophomore transfer, finished his first season at Spalding fourth in the SLIAC in triples with three triples on the season and held a batting average of .327. Chafin highlighted the year going 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in the Eagles 14-13 win over Chapman.
