Four 2nd half goals push Eagles past Earlham, 4-1

LOUISVILLE – The Spalding University women's soccer team scored four second half goals to beat Earlham College, 4-1.

The Lady Eagles (1-2) went into halftime trailing 1-0 after allowing an Earlham (2-2-1) goal in the 39th minute.  Splading tied the game in the 59th minute when Demi West headed a cross from Baylee Tabler past the keeper.

Dee Dee Sliter found Kelsie Parido about 12 yards out, and Parido fired a shot past EC keeper Olivia Wallace to give SU a 2-1 lead. Sliter added a goal in the 64th minute and assisted a Tabler goal in the 70th minute to make the final score 4-1

After taking six shots each in the first half, Spalding dominated possession in the second half outshooting Earlham 12-6 including nine attempts on-goal. The Golden Eagles also held an 8-3 advantage in corners.

SU keeper Kelsey Kaiser (1-2) earned the victory, allowing one goal while recording three saves.
