Box Score 2 The Spalding University (21-14, 13-5) softball team played its last road game of the regular season, defeating Webster University (11-16, 7-8) 6-2, 10-8.

Katy Flanagan with a home run, giving the Golden Eagles a 2-0 second inning lead.
Webster responded in the bottom of the second as Samantha Powers homered, scoring Kelley Bridgmon to tie the game at 2-2.
Kelcie Flener drove in outfielder
Peyton French for a 4-2 lead. Two plays later Flanagan singled, scoring Golden Eagle shortstop
Kelsey McDowell and advancing Flener to scoring position. Spalding pushed its lead to 5-2 as Flener scored on an error by Webster center fielder, Erin McGinnis.
The Golden Eagles scored one more run in the top of the seventh to take a 6-2 win in the first of two against Webster.
Flener led the Golden Eagles going 2-for-3 and recording one hit and one RBI. As pitcher for the Golden Eagles, Flener struck out nine while allowing two hits and walking one.
Spalding 10- Webster 8In the second of two games, Stucker hit a home run giving Spalding an early 1-0 lead. First baseman,
Paige French scored two plays later off a home run by McDowell pushing SU's lead to 3-0.
Webster cut the Golden Eagle lead to 3-1 as an Alyssa Sapp single scored teammate Rachael Frank. Webster would take the lead from the Golden Eagles, as they scored seven runs in the bottom of the second inning.
After scoring two runs in the top of the fourth, Spalding third baseman
Becca Mouser hit a grand slam, scoring McDowell and Peyton and
Paige French, to give SU a 9-8 lead. The Golden Eagles scored one more run in the top of the seventh to take the 10-8 victory and a sweep of Webster on the day.
Mouser ended the game with four RBIs and one run and
Hannah Stucker ended the game going 3-for-3, recording two runs and two RBIs.
Kelci Flener (13-8) picked up her second win of the day, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out two batters and walking one in 4.0 innings.
The Golden Eagles will end the regular-season as they host Wilmington College on Wednesday, April 23. First pitch is set for 5 p.m., EST.
