Box Score 2 The Lady Eagles softball team took two from Eureka in their doubleheader, winning both in dominating fashion, 14-1 and 15-1.

Spalding 14 – Eureka 1
The SU offense exploded in the first game, going for 14 runs off 16 hits and 14 runs batted in. Every starter for the game would get at least one hit in the game.
Brooke Lamon,
Peyton French,
Kelci Flener, and
Callie Howard would get a pair of RBIs each while
Becca Mouser would lead the way with three RBIs.
Paige French,
Kelsey McDowell, and
Katy Flanagan would also contribute, each acquiring an RBI of their own.

Starting pitcher
Kelci Flener held the Red Devil's offense to just one run off six hits and three strikeouts in the complete five inning game.

After Eureka was first to get on the board in the second with one run, SU would answer in a big way in the bottom half of the inning, scoring eleven runs, giving them the comfortable 11-1 lead.

SU would score in each of the final two innings, including two in the third and one in the fourth to give them the 14-1 victory.

Spalding 15 - Eureka 1
Spalding would keep the hot bats in their second game of the doubleheader against Eureka, combining for 15 runs off 12 hits and 13 runs batted in.
Paige French led the way with five RBIs, while twin sister
Peyton French and
Kelsey McDowell each had three.
Alyssa McAfee and
Becca Mouser also got in on the action each adding an RBI each.

Alyssa McAfee would get the win, going all five innings and giving up just one run off three hits and one strikeout.

SU would spread out their runs this game, scoring three in the first, five in the second, two in the third, and five in the fourth. Eureka's only run would come in the final fifth inning, but wouldn't be enough as the Lady Eagles roll through the Red Devils in the weekend series 15-1.

The Lady Eagles softball team will be back in action Wednesday, April 2 against Franklin College at 6:00 p.m. EST at Jeffersontown High School.
