The Spalding University men's soccer team completed the regular season 12-5-1 (6-2-1) and finished 3rd in the SLIAC conference. Thursday (11/6) Spalding will travel to Fulton, Missouri to take on Westminster College. Spalding and Westminster fought to a 2-2 draw in their only matchup of the regular season. A penalty kick from Julio De Leon and an outstanding late goal from Joey Lesher contributed to the tie. 

If the Golden Eagles win, they will advance to the championship game where they will meet the winner of the Fontbonne at Webster (11/6) matchup. Spalding beat Fontbonne 2-0 in their only meeting this season, controlling most of the match. In the game against Webster, SU Soccer lost 2-1 after giving up the lead midway through the second half. 

The SLIAC Men's Soccer Conference Championship game will take place on Saturday, November 8th at the home venue of the highest remaining seed.
