Dee Dee Sliter scored two goals in a one minute thirty-seven second span to push the Spalding University women's soccer team past Westminster College 3-1 Saturday in Fulton, Missouri to win their fifth game in a row.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 7-4-1 overall and 5-1 in the SLIAC. Spalding currently sits in second place in the SLIAC standings, one game behind Webster, who SU will face on Wednesday.

Hannah Freytag who fired a shot past Blue Jay goalkeeper Ellen Woosley to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead at the 13:18 mark. Spalding held
Westminster to three shots in the first half and went to halftime up 1-0.
Westminster's Eileen Koppy knotted the score 1-1 in the 77th minute off an assist from LaTayisah Ousley, but SU responded fast. Sliter broke away from the WC defense and slotted the game winner just 34 seconds after Westminster had tied the match.
Dee Dee put the game out of reach, firing a shot past the keeper into the right side of the net in the 79th minute to make the final score 3-1.
SU outshot Westminster 18-11 and held a 13-3 corner advantage. Keeper
Kelsey Kaiser picked up her seventh win of the season, allowing one goal and tallying five saves.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action Wednesday, October 23 when they host Webster University. Kick-off is set or 1:00 p.m., ET at Champions Trace.
