Livingston named SLIAC Athlete of the Year

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Tray Huguley and Emma Livingston have been chosen as the 2025-26 SLIAC Athletes of the Year. This marks the fourth year that the conference has recognized outstanding athletic performances in the conference for the academic year.
 
Huguley put together a dominant sophomore season for the MUW men's basketball team. He led the Owls to the SLIAC Tournament Championship and the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance while setting a program record for wins in a season. Huguley averaged 22.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game this season, recording 18 double-doubles, while shooting 64-percent from the field. He had a school-record 51 points in a single game and set Owl season records for points, field goals made, field goal percentage, and total rebounds. Huguley was named the SLIAC Player of the Year, earning First Team All-Conference honors and was also a two-time All-Region selection. 

Livingston, a senior at Spalding University, helped the Golden Eagles to the SLIAC Tournament Championship; finishing the year with a 14-5-2 overall record. Livingston was the SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 21 goals, adding 6 assists, and totaling 48 points. She tallied 7 game-winning goals and tied the program record for goals in a season. Following the season she was named to the All-Region Second Team.
