Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Young (Newburgh, Ind.) Spalding University | Midfield | Junior -
Taylor Young tallied nine goals in two games this week. This includes eight goals in a win over Franklin on Saturday. She tallied 13 shots on-goal in the week.
Defensive Player of the Week
Whitney White (Fort Brag, N.C.) Spalding University | Goalkeeper | Junior -
Whitney White tallied 28 saves in two games this week. She also grabbed six ground balls. White led Spalding to a win over Franklin on Saturday.
Notable Performances:
- Claire Ecenbarger (Mulberry, Ind.) Franklin College | Midfield | Junior - Claire Ecenbarger had a strong all-around game against Spalding, scoring on both of her shot attempts, while causing a pair of turnovers and controlling four draws.
- Ruby Himes (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Goalkeeper | Freshman - Ruby Himes recorded three saves and earned the win over HCAC opponent Hanover, helping lead Transylvania to the victory.
- Layla Hobbs-Powell (Lexington, Ky.) Transylvania University | Midfield/Attack | Freshman - Layla Hobbs-Powell led the Transylvania offense with a seven-point performance, recording five goals and two assists. She was efficient throughout, placing all seven of her shots on goal, while also adding one ground ball and four draw controls.
