LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Spalding University women's lacrosse team earned a strong home victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating North Central College 10–5 at Legacy Fields. A balanced offensive performance and solid defensive effort helped the Golden Eagles control the game and secure the nonconference win.
Spalding set the tone early and maintained momentum throughout the contest, consistently creating scoring chances and limiting the Cardinals' opportunities on the other end. The Golden Eagles' offense continued to build its lead as the game progressed, while the defense held North Central to just five goals to preserve the advantage.
Grace Mitchell led the way for Spalding with a standout performance, scoring five goals to pace the Golden Eagles' attack.
Mahalia Dominguez also had a big offensive outing, finishing with four goals and an assist.
Harleigh Beumer added the final goal for Spalding, helping round out the team's 10-goal performance.
