Women's Lacrosse Grabs A Win Over Bethany, 12-7

BETHANY, Wv. - Spalding turned in a complete team performance on March 20, defeating Bethany 12–7 behind an efficient offense and disruptive defense. The Golden Eagles set the tone early with a strong opening quarter and maintained control throughout, overcoming a disadvantage in draw controls by capitalizing on scoring chances and forcing turnovers. Their ability to convert opportunities and apply pressure defensively proved to be the difference, as they limited Bethany's rhythm and protected their lead down the stretch.

Leading the way offensively, Mahalia Dominguez delivered a standout performance with four goals and an assist, consistently attacking the defense and generating scoring chances. Harleigh Beumer matched that production with four goals and one assist of her own, showcasing impressive efficiency as a finisher and helping Spalding maintain its offensive momentum. Grace Mitchell provided a well-rounded effort, contributing a goal and two assists while also impacting the game with ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers. Izabel Cruz added to the balanced attack with a goal and an assist, while also contributing on the defensive end and in transition.

Beyond the top scorers, Spalding's depth and effort were evident across the field. The team controlled key possessions with ground balls, created extra opportunities through forced turnovers, and received steady play in goal with double-digit saves. Altogether, it was a disciplined and cohesive performance that highlighted Spalding's ability to win in multiple ways, using both offensive firepower and defensive intensity to secure the road victory.
