LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In a strong performance at home in Louisville, the Spalding University men's volleyball team secured a straight-sets victory over Franklin College, finishing 3–0 in the non-conference matchup.

Spalding controlled the contest from start to finish, winning 25–23, 26–24, and 25–22 in the three sets played. The Golden Eagles showed balanced attack and solid defensive play throughout the night, using timely kills and disciplined ball control to hold off Franklin's efforts.
Offensively, Spalding was led by
Aakash Malvankar, who registered a match-high 18 kills, while
Max Atherton added 11 and
Tye-Anthony Curtis contributed 9 to the team's impressive kill total. Setter
Brayden Overberg facilitated Spalding's offense with 30 assists, keeping a consistent rhythm in the attack.
Defensively the Golden Eagles showed resilience with 5 team blocks and a combined 38 digs that helped sustain momentum and transition quickly to offense.
For Franklin, Corbin Deck led the Grizzlies with 11 kills, and Kevin Braxton added 9, but they were unable to generate enough sustained offense against Spalding's pressure. Franklin's Matthew Becerra paced the back row with 31 assists, while both Deck and Becerra also contributed across multiple statistical categories.
