LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding's men's basketball team delivered a strong, balanced performance in today's 68–61 win over Westminster, led by several key contributors on both ends of the floor.
TURNING POINT
Xavier Burton paced the Golden Eagles with 16 points, shooting efficiently from the field (6-14) and knocking down three of his four attempts from deep, while also pulling down six rebounds and creating offense for others.
Lekendrick Morris added 13 points, showcasing his ability to score inside and contribute on the defensive glass, and
DeAireus Wells chipped in nine points with six rebounds, providing physical play and valuable minutes.
In addition to the top scorers,
Jaelen Leavell made an impact off the bench with 8 points, connecting on 4-of-6 shots and bringing energy in his time on the floor.
Devonte McCampbell anchored the interior with eight rebounds, added four assists, and provided steady defense, while
Kameron Jones knocked down a pair of three-pointers en route to 6 points and sparked scoring runs.
Brunley Fon contributed 5 points and 9 rebounds, helping Spalding control the glass, and
Levi Langley chipped in 4 points with hustle plays, rounding out a team effort that combined scoring, rebounding, and defensive presence.
