TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles came out strong from the opening draw, using crisp ball movement and aggressive attacking to take an early lead. Spalding scored the first few goals and set the tone offensively, controlling possession and keeping Hanover's defense on its heels. Hanover responded with a couple of goals late in the first half, but Spalding's defense held firm, forcing turnovers and making key stops to keep the Panthers from gaining momentum. Spalding entered halftime with a comfortable lead and carried that energy into the second half. The Golden Eagles continued to dominate in the midfield, winning draw controls and clearing the ball effectively. Their balanced scoring attack saw multiple players contribute on the scoresheet, while their defense stayed locked in, limiting Hanover's offensive looks and shutting down key players.
Spalding's goalie came up with several crucial saves down the stretch to keep Hanover from mounting a comeback. The Golden Eagles closed the game with two late goals to secure the 12-6 victory.
