LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding women's lacrosse hosted HCLC opponent Franklin College on Saturday. SU grabbed their conference win in a row, 19-2.
SU moved to 3-9 (2-0 HCLC) on the season, while the Grizzlies fell to 0-6 (0-2 HCLC).
TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles came out firing in the first quarter, quickly building momentum with unanswered goals. Their offensive unit moved the ball efficiently, with crisp passing and brilliant shot selection. By halftime, Spalding had already opened up a double-digit lead, with several players contributing to the score sheet.
Standout performances came from the attack line, where multiple Golden Eagles scored multiple goals, highlighting the team's depth and unselfish play. Defensively, Spalding was equally impressive. The backline forced numerous turnovers, and the midfield transition game was sharp, keeping Franklin on their heels throughout the contest.
Brooke Bradley, the goalkeeper, was another bright spot. Spalding's netminder made several key stops early on to preserve the lead and set the tone. As the game wore on, the Golden Eagles continued to rotate players, maintaining their high intensity and execution.
