LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's basketball team played SLIAC opponent Blackburn on Saturday. SU won 68-58.
The Golden Eagles moved to 15-6 (13-1 SLIAC), while the Beavers fell to 3-18 (0-14 SLIAC).
TURNING POINT
The game commenced with both teams displaying intense energy. Spalding's defense was particularly effective, limiting Blackburn to 23 points in the first half. Offensively, the Golden Eagles capitalized on their opportunities, amassing 29 points before halftime. This six-point lead provided a cushion as they headed into the locker room.
Blackburn intensified their efforts in the second half, adding 35 points to their tally. However, Spalding matched their pace, contributing 39 points. The Golden Eagles' consistent scoring and steadfast defense ensured they maintained their lead throughout the half.
