Golden Eagles keep the streak alive in Eureka

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding men's basketball played SLIAC opponent Eureka on Thursday. SU came out with the win, 76-61.

The Golden Eagles moved to 14-6 (12-1 SLIAC), while the Red Devils fell to 6-14 (5-8 SLIAC).

TURNING POINT
Spalding began the game with a strong defensive strategy, limiting Eureka's offensive opportunities. Their defense forced multiple turnovers, which Spalding capitalized on to build an early lead. The Golden Eagles offense was efficient, with successful perimeter shooting and effective drives to the basket. By halftime, Spalding had established a 31-20 lead over the Red Devils.

In the second half, both teams intensified their offensive efforts. Eureka attempted to close the gap with increased scoring, but Spalding maintained their composure and continued to execute their game plan effectively. The Golden Eagles showcased their depth, with contributions from both starters and bench players. Their balanced attack and consistent defense allowed them to outscore Eureka in the second half, leading to a final score of 76-61 in favor of Spalding.
