Men’s Soccer drops 2-1 decision to Earlham

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding men's soccer ended their Tuesday night match with a 1-2 loss against Earlham College.

The Golden Eagles fell to 1-3-1, while the Quakers moved to 2-1-2.

TURNING POINT

In the first half, Earlham scored a goal in the 17th minute to take an early lead. The defense rallied and stopped the Quakers only other shot on target in the frame. SU's offense got some chances with seven shots in the first half. 

After another Quaker goal found the back of the net in the 61st minute, Spalding ended Earlham's hope of a shutout. In the 81st minute, a fantastic pass from Adrian Oyler found Mustafa Almohammedawi for his fourth goal of the season. It was the second assist of Oyler's career.

Earlham held on to win 2-1.
